Meinung aus Houston

Having had the priviledge to spend the past three days discussing the Peaceful Revolution with my peers from both Germany and Poland, eyewittnesses and historical experts, I have come to appreciate just how complex and amazing the events of 1989 were.
I personally think the monument should commemorate the past while celebrating the future, that it should try to show the different persepectives of all those who took to the streets of Leipzig in protest. I like the idea of a monument that goes around the city in a ring of small monuments with a central monument placed somewhere along it, as to me this best can symbolize the unity, preseverance and peaceful protests of 1989.
